Jeannine is a born and bred southern gal hailing from Atlanta, GA. She fell in love with world exploration and cultural immersion during a trip to Barcelona, Spain in 2001 where she participated in a Spanish language immersion program. She’s been on the go ever since. Her zest for adventure, tripping on the fly, and making friends wherever she goes has resulted in many memorable travel stories, some of which can be shared publicly. Currently, she has been to Mexico, Canada, Jamaica, Spain, Italy, England, France, Ireland, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Serbia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and Haiti. Her ever growing bucket list destinations include Scotland, New Zealand, Greece, Iceland, and Thailand.
This southern belle has an affinity for baking, biscuits, bourbon, barbecue, shaved ice, and the great outdoors. When she’s not scrambling to pack for adventure, she’s renovating her 1930’s bungalow in Atlanta. She’s a fan of Couchsurfing and a former Airbnb host. She speaks Spanish well enough to get into and out of trouble, impress native speakers, and eavesdrop effectively. She enjoys camping, hiking, porch sittin’, stirring up craft cocktails, and volunteering in her community. She plays a mean game of skee-ball and pool. She loves dive bars, dancing, and listening to live music.
Jeannine was a panelist speaking on Budget and Last Minute Travel at the 2014 Women in Travel Summit (presented by Wanderful). She is part of the Women In Travel Summit (WITS) planning team. She served as an Events Coordinator for WITS 15, Sponsor Lead for WITS16, and is gearing up for WITS17 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Jeannine guest hosted Midlife Roadtrip’s twitter chat #NUTS for about a year (until its finale) and is an ongoing correspondent for midliferoadtrip.tv. She has also written for Wanderful.
